SCandinavian Cruises - 2026

Thursday 28 May'26 - Sea Day

A leisurely breakfast before heading back to the room and a sorting & rationalisation of retail therapy assets to date.  To paraphrase an well known Jeep ad, "shoulda' bought a bigger bag.."  Photo's of where we were currently located @1000 today and some more of the various artwork's scattered throughout the ship.  An early lunch as we are going to a special dinner tonight, Le Petit Chef (more to come).  At lunch, they had turned the dessert station into a special Belgian Chocolate servery but you would have taken your life in your own hands if you'd tried to get past the hordes of "old ladies".  To be honest, I'd feel safer in a shark feeding frenzy!  Back to the room to watch a replay of the 3rd Women's State of Origin played an hour earlier, and it has been a great couple of days for Blues supporters.

As mentioned earlier, dinner tonight was in the Le Grande Bistro, an additional cost restaurant, but featuring a "special show", Le Petit Chef.  It was advertised as an unique experience that provides enrichment for your eyes, your mind and your tastebuds.  Upfront, I apologise for the number of files but I am limited to file sizes and I did want to provide as much of what the experience was as possible.  I also apologise that parts of the "show" were not captured because things changed so quickly and started without any warning.  Anyhow, I hope you get the gist...  It is a 4 course menu with 1st page, is what the chef prepares.  The 2nd page is the optional course.  Also, so as to provide variety, in case you want to go again, there are 5 different menu's that rotate through the week.

Truely, a "feast" for all the senses and most enjoyable.  Now in looking for a logo online to put into the email you'll get re the page being posted, I discovered that it is a franchise and Le Petit Chef exists across many places in the world, Australia included.  Probably a little exxy in price but still, something really special.   Highly contented and off to sleep on the last night of Cruise #2.
